The INGECOM dual-frequency Active-Tag product line is a comprehensive set of products all built with a focus on the user's requirements for tracking, tracing and streamlining the assets. The user's cost of ownership is maximized with a typical 10 year battery lifetime for the Active-Tags. All the products are designed and produced in our premises, allowing for the Swiss-Made label to be proudly displayed.
Optimized for the logistics

The overall logistics of the dual-frequency Active-Tags is highly optimized and intrinsically safe. After the individual final production test, the tags are set in deep-sleep operation (zero energy consumption) to prevent any operation during the air-shipment in compliance with IATA requirement to suspend wireless operations before boarding an aircraft. The storage of the dual-frequency Active-Tags is also not deducting any lifetime of its internal battery. When ready for operation, the user swipes the tag over the 13MHz reader to configure the notification interval and the type of operation, read-only or read-write.
Intrinsically safe and Energy efficient

All the focus of the Active-Tag is on the energy efficiency : performing a lot with very few. The very long reading distance, typically over 100m in free space, is achieved with a very minimum output radiated power. The SAR (Specific Absorption Rate) is a measurement of how much electromagnetic radiation is absorbed by body tissue while using a mobile phone. The higher the SAR the more radiation is absorbed. In Europe, the European Union Council has adopted the recommendations made by the International Commission on Non-Ionising Radiation Protection (ICNIRP Guidelines 1998). These recommendations set a SAR limit of 2.0 W/kg in 10g of tissue. The Active-Tag limits its radiation to below 0.000009 W/kg, way below any mobile phone.
Compatible with any network

The long range controllers used to read the Active-Tags are ready to operate in compliance with most of the industry standard networks : from RS232, RS485, USB, LAN, WiFi, GPRS, there's always a controller able to connect with the required environment. Request for specific developments such as CANbus, or MODbus.
Optimized cost of ownership

Fast setup, easy software integration, reliable operation, unprecedented battery lifetime for such a small form factor makes it an ideal long term investment.

The Active-Tag product line is in compliance with Commission Regulation (EC) No. 278/2009. The Regulation set forth procedures for implementing Directive 2005/32/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council with regard to eco-design requirements for "No-Load" condition electric power consumption and average active efficiency of external power supplies. The power supply meets the requirements and guidelines of the Commission Regulation (EC) No. 278/2009.
The Active-Tag product line is in compliance with Directive 2002/95/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council set into force in January 2003. This Directive set into force procedures regarding the restriction of the use of certain substances in electric and electrical equipment (ROHS). INGECOM ensures that the products does not contain any substances proposed for inclusion to be listed in the Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC) "Candidate List" (Art. 59.1 of Regulation No. 1907/2006 updated June 18, 2010) in an individual concentration of greater than or equal to 0.1% by weight.
Waste Disposal Method: DO NOT incinerate. Lithium-Manganese dioxide batteries with ry Act (USA-RCRA) regulations. Lithium Manganese batteries used in the Active-Tag product range is not hazardous waste. Under normal conditions of use the batteries are non-toxic. Issues such as eco-toxicity, persistence and bio-accumulation are not applicable for articles.
